Start a Device Repair

You can start a device repair in two ways:
  1. Set a device’s status and create a repair ticket. Recommended. This method will let you flag the device itself as needing  repair, and then walk you through the repair ticket creation process.
  2. Click the New Repair button from the Repairs screen. This method will let you create a new repair ticket, but will not change the device’s status as needing a repair.
Method 1: Set a device's status and create a repair ticket
  1. After logging into GoGuardian Fleet, click on the Inventory tab.

  2. Click on the device you want to have repaired. You can search, filter, or modify the table layout to make it easier to find the device.
  3. Click the Status dropdown, select Needs Repair, and click Save Changes.

  4. Click the Repairs tab with the item still selected.

  5. Click Create New Repair.

  6. Select the type of repair. If the repair needed is something other than a broken screen, keyboard, or case, select Other, and use the Notes field to indicate the type of repair.

  7. Click Create Repair.

Method 2: Click the New Repair button from the Repairs screen.

  1. After logging into GoGuardian Fleet, click on the Repairs tab.
  2. Click the New Repair button.

  3. Click in the Search devices field, and enter the serial number or asset ID of the device.

  4. Select the type of repair. If the repair needed is something other than a broken screen, keyboard, or case, select Other, and use the Notes field to indicate the type of repair.
  5. Click Create Repair.
